SUSTAINABILITY

Since the beginning of WOS, we've prioritized ethical production and quality craftsmanship. Our goal has always been to create long-lasting apparel that stays true to our values while remaining accessible.

As we grow, we're continually working to improve our materials and processes, but our commitment remains the same: thoughtfully made apparel, made with quality and responsibility in mind.

JEWELRY CARE

Check out our Jewelry Care page for a breakdown of how to take care of your new WOS pieces by material!

REPAIRS

If something arrives damaged or breaks due to a defect, please let us know within 30 days and we'll be happy to help. If the issue is due to our error, we'll repair or replace the piece at no cost. For accidental damage or well-loved older pieces, repair fees may apply, but we'll always do our best to get your jewelry back to its former glory!

HARDWARE OPTIONS

CAN I REQUEST DIFFERENT HARDWARE FOR MY EARRINGS?

At this time, we aren't able to offer custom earring hardware options. We use sterling silver, gold-filled, platinum-plated, and stainless steel hardware in hopes of keeping our jewelry comfortable for as many customers as possible.

That said, if you prefer a different style of hook or hoop, they're easy to swap out, and some customers do choose to customize them to best fit their own needs!

GARMENT SOURCING

We prioritize ethically sourced, sustainable blanks with high natural fiber content, mainly 100% cotton-organic when possible-while avoiding non-recycled synthetics. We also look for ethical production, less plastic waste, non-toxic dyes, inclusive sizing, and durable fabrics that work well with water-based printing.
Our main supplier is ASColors, a company that perfectly aligns with our beliefs and morals. Their commitment includes using organic materials grown without herbicides or pesticides, and they have removed 99% of plastics from their supply chain. Their efforts in ethical fashion were recognized when they ranked  in the Baptist World Aid Ethical Fashion Report.

For more information on ASColors, their supply chain or ethical guide check out their site!

FABRIC GUIDE & MATERIALS

Garment Dyed: The fabric is dyed after the garment is fully assembled, rather than dyeing the fabric first. This gives a softer feel, a more vintage look, and subtle color variations (slight fading or uneven tones) that make each piece unique. This process also helps reduce shrinkage.

Enzyme Dyed: A fabric treatment where enzymes break down fibers slightly before dyeing, which also gives the fabric a softer feel and a slightly worn-in or vintage look. It can also reduce pilling.

Combed Cotton: Cotton that has been specially treated, which results in a softer, stronger, and more durable fabric compared to regular cotton.

Preshrunk: The fabric has been treated to reduce shrinkage before being cut and sewn into a garment. While it won’t prevent all shrinkage, it minimizes the amount a piece will shrink after washing and drying

We aim to work with suppliers that make 100% cotton and when it's available, we prioritize 100% organic cotton. Along with this, we try to avoid working with alot of of synthetic materials, and when necessary we use only 100% recycled polyester. Currently, our ink is water based to further our efforts in removing plastics (plastisol) from our process.

PRINTING PROCESS

We print the majority of our apparel in-house and occasionally work with other US-based print shops. Whenever possible, we prioritize water-based inks and small-batch production to create garments with quality, longevity, and care in mind.

APPAREL CARE

The best way to reduce wear and tear on your garments while also reducing water and energy consumption, is to  wash your garments less and avoid any unnecessary heat from water or the dryer. With all of this in mind, always check your tag for care instructions that you can follow.

SIZING

We are committed to offering inclusive sizing and will always do our best to ensure that our products are accessible to everyone. However, because we do not manufacture our garments and only handle the printing, there may be some limitations in the sizes available. Our focus on ethical sourcing adds an additional layer of complexity, sometimes making it more challenging to provide a full range of sizes. But we will continue to do everything we can to offer inclusive sizing when it is available to us.
