FAQ & SHOP POLICIES

1: ORDERS

Your order will ship 2-4 weeks after your purchase. We are a small shop, and we work hard to make and ship your items as quickly as possible. All orders are carefully packaged for USPS shipping.  You will receive tracking information once your package has shipped (not after your purchase).  

Please Note: During online sales, holidays, or peak sales times, it may take a little longer. We will always do our best to keep within the 2-4 week window! Thank you for your patience with our super small business.

2: SHIPPING

All pieces are carefully packaged and sent via USPS (United State Postal Service). We are willing to ship via other shipping carriers, but please reach out to us at info@whileodinsleeps.com first!

For international shipping, packages are also mailed within 2-4 weeks. Please note that if your package is held up in customs the duration of your delivery will take longer. International buyers are solely responsible for any and all duties or taxes.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise through the shipping process unless additional shipping insurance has been purchased by the buyer. Please contact us for rates. That being said, we totally understand how disappointing it is to have a package lost or stolen so we're happy to try our best to make the situation right for you :)

P.S. Remember to recycle! We reuse shipping materials as much as we can. Please consider recycling or reusing the shipping materials that your jewelry is shipped in. Mother Nature will thank you for it! <3

3: RETURNS & REPAIRS

You have up to 10 days to report any defect or breakage in a piece. Please contact us here in case such sadness occurs. If the piece is faulty or damaged from our own error, we will fix the piece at no cost to you. If the damage was an accident on your end, the repair cost is dependent on the part in need of replacing or repair. Custom orders are not returnable.

Yes! We repair older pieces that have been damaged through lots of wear and tear. Regardless, we will fix any unhappy pieces as we'd hate you to have a wounded lady in your midst!

4: CARE & POLISHING

Oils from your skin and the oxygen in the air are what accelerate tarnishing. If you want to slow the tarnishing process, wipe each piece clean with a Sunshine cloth and store in a sealed plastic bag. Do not wear pieces in water and avoid keeping them in humid areas like the bathroom.

5. EARRING OPTIONS

We would love to be able to accommodate all hardware preferences, but it can get quite overwhelming for us since there are so many!! We know that a lot of us have unique needs and preferences, like having allergies, stretched ears, or non pierced lobes. While we don’t offer customizable hardware options, we know that a lot of our customers with specific needs will buy a pack of special hooks to always have on hand and switch them out themselves. We think this is a great idea and would highly recommend doing this, since it allows them to buy any earrings, from us and from other jewelers, and turn them into something perfectly right for them!
